Ingredients :
125 ml butter
125 ml golden syrup
1 egg
750 ml cake flour
250 ml sugar
15 ml ginger powder
5 ml baking soda
2 ml salt
35 ml milk
Method :
Melt the butter and stir in the golden syrup and allow to cool.
Once the syrup has cooled, beat in the egg.
Sift the dry ingredients and stir into the syrup mixture, adding the milk periodically.
Place in the refridgerator and allow to cool and to stiffen.
Preheat the oven to 180C and grease a baking tray.
Roll out the dough on a lightly floured surface and cut into shapes using a biscuit mould (cutter).
Bake in the oven for about 10 minutes or until lightly brown.
